4 Ways Fantasy Authors Can Use Their iPhones To Be Faster.
notes, journal, camera, and voice memos
Your phone well can increase your ability to write quickly—instead of being a hinderance to you.
The Notes App. Obviously, this is the best place for writing on an iPhone.
The Journal App. I jot down my random ideas and post ideas and to-do lists in Notes, but use the Journal App to frontier the storyline on my current manuscript. As you can see, I have 2,000 words of just outlining.
The Photos and Camera Apps. No inspiring view should ever get away from a fantasy author who has a handy phone camera. Never have visuals been so easy to capture and keep. Don’t let good settings get away from you!
Voice Memos. Sometimes you just don’t have the time to write something down so you have to just blurt it into the Memos App. Beware of doing this in public because it can look a little odd.
There's an app I use called Drafts and it opens the keyboard right away so you can just start writing. It's good for jotting down simple ideas for plots, characters, and settings or just ideas for books that you can pull out of your pocket whenever you want to start plodding.
